What’s new in Kootenay business

Skis and Sherpas

Feb 17, 2012

Selkirk Wilderness Skiing is teaming up with Sherpas Cinema to produce a short film starring local settings and top athletes.

Sherpas Cinema is responsible for the wildly successful film “All.I.Can” that premiered in Kootenay locations over the winter of 2011/12. The upcoming film will focus on the cat-skiing industry, and specifically how Selkirk Wilderness Skiing has pioneered the cat-skiing movement since its beginnings in 1975. The film is set to be released in summer 2012.

The Kootenay communities live and breathe creativity, ingenuity, and talent. From the colourful summer markets of Invermere to the tailored boutiques in Nelson, it’s the people behind the scenes that make business in the Kootenays something to be proud of.

We encourage business owners to help us keep abreast of latest developments. Have you recently changed ownership? Hired a new therapist for your clinic or moved to a different location? Business Beat is about highlighting the action inside the Kootenays’ business scene.
