A new year brings renewed promises to take better care of one’s physical health as well as improve and hopefully increase one’s finances. Without proper guidance even those with the best of intentions can easily fall back into old habits.

The Rocky Mountain Lifestyle & Wellness Expo will be held Saturday, January 26, 2008, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Prestige Rocky Mountain Resort & Convention Centre in Cranbrook. And best of all admission is free (by donation to the East Kootenay Foundation for Health) and there are some great door prizes to be won including round trip tickets to Vancouver compliments of Pacific Coast Airlines.

The Rocky Mountain Lifestyle & Wellness Expo offers attendees a valuable opportunity to meet with experts ready to assist people in reaching their physical and financial goals.

The event will be ideal for those wanting to start their own business, learn to invest wisely, support themselves and their family through proper health care and wise financial planning.

Two-time Olympic speed skater Ingrid Liepa will be one of the featured speakers at the Rocky Mountain Lifestyle & Wellness Expo—at 2:30 p.m. Liepa, who is also a sustainability consultant, teacher, facilitator and former lawyer, has a lifelong interest in personal health and wellness.

“After being immersed in the pressures of sport at the highest levels, (I have) a keen understanding of what makes a winning mind and what it takes to create a balanced and healthy life,” said Liepa. Liepa, who has been exploring the healing wisdom of indigenous cultures for the last eight years, will be speaking on how she has integrated her many life experiences to reach her personal potential, and how the lessons she has learned may benefit others.

In addition to Ingrid Liepa, other guest speakers include Dr. Carl Weber of Honu Family Chiropractic; Tony Burgess, Sun Life Advisor; and Mary Anne Jenkins, Investors Group.

Make sure to start this year out right by talking with one of the many experts who will be on hand to answer your questions and provide you with a plan to ensure that your personal, financial and physical wellness goals are met—and enjoy the satisfaction of having kept your resolutions.
