Doug Wilfley, owner of Windermere Valley Golf Course, has noticed a change in the type of people who have been visiting the area.
“More and more people are looking to spend time outdoors,” Wilfley explains.”They want to reconnect with nature and the outdoors.”
As with the rest of the area, Wilfley has noticed a lack in workers and staff. He says the only challenge his business is facing is finding people to come and work at the golf course.
Wilfley explained how they were not focusing on bringing in new workers, instead their emphasis was on keeping the ones they already had.
“We try to keep the existing employees we have already,” he said.”If we find a good one we try to keep them as happy as we can.”
