Technology Leader
|
JSL Forum Systems Solutions started out with wireless alarm systems
that were just appearing on the market in 1994 in Cranbrook.
JSL is now a leader in a wide range of technologies, with the majority
of its business in telecommunications and computer networking. President
Wolfgang Brunnbauer holds an Engineering Degree in Electronics, and
worked extensively for the internationally known company Siemens AG.
An opportunity arose to install a major fibre optics network
at Fort Steele, followed by government offices in Invermere, and Tembecs
Value Added Plant and their mill sites, explained Brunnbauer.
The installation of telephone systems soon became the main focus,
and JSL has installed a vast number of state-of-the-art voice mail
systems. JSL is the only local dealer for Active Voice, a division
of NEC, the recognized industry leader worldwide.
Keeping up to date has allowed JSL to develop communications into
two-thirds of its business. The company gives customers the same technologies
found in major centres. This is proving essential for JSLs competitiveness.
Keeping current with technology gives JSL its cutting-edge advantage.
The recent addition of a line of Corinex products demonstrates this
commitment to bringing the finest technology to the Kootenays.
These Corinex applications are for everyone: home office, large
corporation, small businesses, schools and hotels, said Brunnbauer.
One example of an application of this type would be in the hotel industry,
hosting conventions or workshops that might require multiple computer
stations. One can create as many stations as the customer requires;
then, when the event is over, the devices can be unplugged and stored
until the next occasion comes along.
Brunnbauer said he is looking forward to the next 10 years of connecting
and protecting the Kootenays. |
